No sound after installing new WXP Pro on used Presario SR1411NX?
No icon by clock. Device manager under “sound, video and game controllers” lists: audio codecs, legact audio drivers, legacy video capture devices, media control devices, realtek AC’97 audio and video codecs. Speakers plug into bus for power, power light on speaker not on.
after reinstalling windows you also need to install the drivers for your motherboard such as sound , lan etc, if you have the driver disc for the pc install the drivers from it and if you dont have the disc go to the manufacturers web site and look under support for downloads and drivers find the drivers for your model and download and install them
