Wifi Wireless
Is it possible to share a internet connection using wifi on a wireless router?

I have a desktop pc and it is connected to a wireless router so if my friend buys another router the same as mine, can it send my internet to that one using wifi? He is using a desk top pc also.
this question was posted before but some how ended up in the lap tops section!
router to router, from his machine to my machine.both desk tops,i cant afford a wireless card and would need an adapter as i dont have a pci slot.will it work?

Yes, although as someone else has already pointed out, he only needs a wireless card that can connect to your router, not a whole router himself. First of all you have to set yourselves up on the same local network and set up user accounts on each others machines so that you can’t see each others files (you can set up shared folders though that you can each access if you want to transfer files). Next, set up Internet Connection Sharing on your machine, this will make your internet connection available for use by anyone on your local network. It will set your machine’s IP address to 192.168.0.1, so he then has to set up an internet connection on his machine that connects through that address.
