Does anyone know if an IBM 30Gig laptop hard drive is compatible in a Toshiba Protege?
I have a Toshiba Protege 3110 series laptop, with no hard drive. I also have an IBM 30 Gig hard drive, with no laptop. The IBM hard drive FITS….. Is it compatible, or am I wasting my time? Where can I find hardware compatibility help for this situation?

It should be as long as the SATA or IDE ports fit it properly. It’s like asking if a specific brand of milk will work in your coffee.
