Seethru Case
Will this case protect my Mac from scratches?
I just got a Macbook Pro and it hasn’t arrived yet, but I want to get a protector (Speck 13″ SeeThru Case for Macbook Pro- Unibody with Black Keys) so that it won’t get scratched or anything. My question is will this (http://store.apple.com/us-hed/product/H1726) help protect it from scratches and external damage, and is it worth the money?
Also, does anyone know of a very nice, slim, but HARD case for a laptop? I don’t want a sleep I need something strong and durable, but not too big that can keep my Mac from overheating in my car (I’m in FL where it reaches 3000 degrees here).
If anyone could help me, or point me in the right direction for a better laptop protector + case, it’d be great. Thanks.

I wish I had noticed your post sooner. I already ordered it. Oh well, I just won’t use it now. I’ve already got a case (a hardcase, so I don’t know if it will protect from scratches or not) but I’m definitely selling this thing.
I have a macbook pro and the Speck Seethru case actually scratched my laptop. Unless you take off the case and clean it constantly, dust can get inside and rub between the case and the laptop. I have also heard that the case can mess up the back bezel on the display. I had the case on for two years, but seeing the damage it caused, I now use my MBP without it. I would just invest in a nice thick neoprene case that can protect it while in your bag and toting it around. Hope this helps.
