Can I carry a backpack and a laptop messenger bag for my 17″ laptop as a carry on.?
I know that United allows you to bring one carry on and a purse, bag or laptop as a carry on. But does it have to be a certain size and can I bring a messenger bag to store in it. United has a 45 lineal inch (h+w+l) maximum size allowance for your carry-on luggage. As long as your backpack meets the size restricitions, the laptop bag should be fine as your personal item.
