your wondering why XP doesn’t have office on it? Well, Xp doesn’t come with office. If your referring to a newly bought computer which shows a resemblence of Office…hang it up. OEMs put that crap on there for you to slobber over and buy it if you get impatient enough. Interestingly enough XP Pro is supposed to come with excel, access, and powerpoint, office 2003 – it’s on the box and that’s why I bought it. If that’s not so, why did they put it on the box and why do all the ads for purchase say this comes with it? (along with a couple others as well).

All I’ve gotten for my $300.00 is an OS that resembles windows 98 in that it is stripped to the point that wordpad doesn’t even exist.
PS there are no trial versions or offers to upgrade via purchasing in this copy either.
