My Sony VAIO VGN-AR31E notebook won´t let me do a recovering of my VAIO system.?

My Sony VAIO VGN-AR31E notebook won´t let me do a recovering of my VAIO system. I had several, sudden “blue screen” occurences. Then: I turn on the computer, press the F10 key when the VAIO logo appears. the Edit Boot Options window appears, I press the ENTER key. Then I see a black screen, the square with moving objects appears. Underneath is the writing” Microsoft windows” to be seen. Then there´s a black screen, after a few minutes a white arrow appears in the middle of the screen, nothing else happens for hours.
I´ve used my recovery discs, it always ends the same way.
I have nothing connected to my notebook.
I had to burn a recovery disc (with tools on it) and there is a second recovery disc burned by me, it was the first thing the handbook told me to do after buying the notebook. But both the discs show no other results than what I can achieve by pressing F10.

What do you mean you have used your recovery disks? have you booted from recovery disk 1 and done a complete system rebuild?

Do you have any external devices like a USB HDD, printer or any others if so remove them while you boot and see if that makes a difference
