Notebook Briefcase

Wristlet for an interview (instead of a briefcase)?
I have a job interview for a professional legal position.
I 1) do not own a briefcase 2) don’t have stuff to fill it up to make it worthwhile.
I am bringing a notebook/planner that I plan on holding in my lap, and besides that keys, mints…a portfolio I am giving to the interviewer…
Is the breifcase necessary or is a wristlet too informal?
A briefcase is not necessary. If you have a nice leather portfolio that you can tuck a copy of your resume in, as well as a pad, pen and business card (if appropriate) it should be sufficient.
The most important part of any interview is to ‘be yourself’. Toting along a briefcase, if you don’t do it all the time, will come off as being unnatural.
Sounds like you have what you need all lined up already. Good luck on the interview!
