Why is my 2009 Dodge Journey have a light blue smoke coming out of the tail pipe when I start it up?
Is this normal for new cars to have this happen? It’s very light blue and it only happens when the engine is cold. Do I have reason for concern?
This is a new vehicle still under warranty. It should not smoke, despite what some others think. I have had numerous new vehicles and have never had an issue like you describe. The dealership needs to fix the problem. There is a possibility that what you see is condensation which would be normal but it would be best to have it checked at your dealer. That way if they say it is ok and something does happen, you will have it on the vehicle’s service record.
