Leather Envelope
my cat recently started chewing everything – cords and now my shoes! also, anything with adhesive.?
My cat is about 2 years old (i think) and i adopted her almost a year ago. She recently has started chewing everything – it almost makes me think of a teething baby. She has chewed through cell phone chargers and this morning i found her in my closet chewing on a pair of crocs and then fancy leather shoes. She seems to have an attraction for anything with adhesive – sticky paws tape was useless cause she loves to lick it off. (she also will go after any envelope or scotch tape piece i leave around). I am worried there is something wrong with her teeth, or that there is something missing from her diet. Help!
they do sell teething toys for kittens. but i would think this cat would have all her adult teeth by now. get her a big cardboard box, let her chew on that. my cat loves chewing on cardboard. and also used to chew on my purse straps, and anything plastic. get her some cardboard maybe she’ll like that better than cords. in the meantime “baby proof” your house. maybe you could wrap a towel around lamp cords etc
ps. you also should look inside her mouth. make sure nothing bad is going on inside there. she might have lost some teeth from all her chewing.
