Leather Bag
I wore a black dress and the color transferred to my white leather bag. How I can get out of here?
The dress was new and was black cotton. Basically ruined my white leather coach bag. I went to the store and Coach leather cleaner did not work. They suggested a product called Lexol. Has anyone heard talk about this? Does anyone have any suggestions? The lady at the store coach told me I could always lead to a shoe repair and have my whole dye black white bag. That seems crazy to me. There must be another solution!
You are known as dye transfer. You need a detergent cleaner Maxi strong cleaner to try and remove it. (Maxi Cleaner was specially developed for this problem) The dye has entered the leather finish and the most deeper than the harder it has been removed. Please do not use solvents or hairspray in it, as it can make things much worse. If Maxi Cleaner does not work then not going to another cleaner and you have to call a qualified leather. A technician leather of good will have the right products to do this and may have to replace finish and pigment so is best left to him / her to do.
