What kind of soldering iron for Laptop repair?
What is the best brand, wattage and tips for working on laptop computers? I have several laptops that need repair, they vary in degree of disrepair and need to know the best kind and most economical solder iron to use for this project, I am on a very limited budget, so price is a factor. I have tried Radio Hack and they break within a few weeks.
Get on Ebay. I would recomend a Pace. Should be able to get one for less than $75. Tips are not very expensive, temp. is selectable and the selection of tip sizes and shapes is good.
