Laptop Blue
If I have a laptop with a blue-ray drive can I watch blue rays through my HIgh Def TV in 1080P?
I have a lap top that has a blue ray drive. Can I connect that to my TV and watch blue ray movies in 1080P. My TV supports 1080P but I don’t have the laptop yet so I’m not sure if my laptop has a HDMI out plug.
Your laptop will need to support HDMI-out. I don’t think the VGA output will do 1080p. Some TVs will also do 1080p over component, so if your laptop supports component video that will work for the time being. (however, when studios start enforcing HDCP, you will HAVE to use HDMI to get anything greater than 480p from your laptop while playing a blu-ray movie.
