The other teens I live with are making my life hell?
I live in a care home with other teenagers. Most of the other teens are making my life hell. I’m blind in one eye and I have light sensitivity in the other and not very good vision in that one either and I wear sun glasses all year around so my eye is hurt. I have 30% hearing in one ear as well. The others keep taking my laptop and hiding it so I can’t find it. I’m the only one who has a laptop which my school paid for so I could do my school work on. We’re not meant to have our own laptops as it causes fights. They tease me because I sew my own clothes using an old fashioned machine where I have to turn the wheel myself as I find modern ones to difficult to use and I risk hurting myself. We get a clothing allowence but some of mine goes on fabric which the lady who runs the home doesn’t mind but the teens do.
How can I get them to stop making my life hell? There is 8 of using living in the home and only one doesn’t make my life hell but despite what he says they won’t stop.

You must tell your carer in privacy. Explain to her/him exactly what you’ve explained to us.
Those other teens are jealous and are trying to make life difficult for you, as if it weren’t already difficult.
Out of 6 of us, I was the only one who ignored it all. All the teasing, sometimes ganging up on me, blaminig things on me. I ignored it all, sometimes with a smile or a simple, ok.
We had a point system for good behavior, I always had the highest points. One day, someone blammed me for something stupid and I lost ALL my points saved up over 3 years, my allowance was cut and I could not leave for outing anywhere. I just said Ok, and started over till finally I reached 18 and was out sharing an apartment with a roommate on my own.
I just want you to see that you have to be patient and ignore. My grandmother always says, “let them say what they want, you just ignore it and if they want a reply, just say, O.k.
