What’s a good deluxe laptop bag for a 17″ laptop?

I’ve been looking for a good laptop bag to fit my Dell Precision M6500 17″ that would have some additonal space. Does anyone have any experience with bags such as the timbuk2 deluxe models like commute 2.0 large size or any other brands such as swissgear? I need additonal space for other items such as the power brick and anything else I can manage to fit, willing to pay more for space. I’m thinking about a messenger type bag. Suggestions?
