When you pay for internet service, does it matter if you have a home computer/ laptop?
Say you get internet (from Comcast, Verizon, etc.), does it make a difference if you have a laptop vs. a home computer? Do you get a card to put in the laptop or what?
That might be a question you want to bring up with the internet company when you are purchasing the service. You can always plug a network cable into the modem like you would with a desktop, but most people either use Wifi with a laptop or get a separate notebook modem so you can take the internet with you.
