Where I can get a quality foam backed green screen online?
I am looking for a quality foam backed green screen of approximately 10'x20 'and a support to keep, and the box / bag to store everything. Anyone know where I can look? I'm having difficulty finding online.
Hello Liam: I do not know about "foam backing" requirement, since the front surface of green is the only essential requirement for Chroma Key work. Most portable green screens (unless they are small, flex cable framed "pop out" style – and FlexDrop TwistFlex are two brands) are just painted canvas fabric (or special fabric / dyed fabric) in a folding frame or sill. B & H Photo is a good source of these teams (see links in my sources below). Amvon party used to be affordable / seller, but that seemed to have disappeared (after being sued by Photoflex on patents and copyrights), but if you look for on eBay or Amazon.com amvon (or do a search on Yahoo! Civichrome), you can still find vendors for their funds Civichrome brand of canvas and blue and green drops (w / o frame) and kits (W / frame & carry on bag). Photoflex is still in business. If you are in an environment controlled (eg the study) can use a standard "perfect" means paper roll and setting the crossbar, or trade-show "Pipe & Drape" means and bars. For outdoor or busy traffic areas (with the doors and the breeze) you need film-style C-stands, bags sand, and a complete picture (see example in my sources below). The more robust configuration is not exactly fit into a cloth bag with zipper. Matthews Studio Equipment (which makes some of the green screens carried by B + H), also makes the famous Matthews C-stand (the name of Age of Enlightenment), which is used in almost all movies and commercial release.
