HELP , problem with new motherboard in dell inspiron 531!!?
ok so i got an Asus P7P55-M motherboard ,an i5-760 and 4gb ddr3 ram ,first off dell dont want you putting in a mobo u picked yourself so built the i/o shield into the case but i cut that out so its all good, got the mobo in fine, it matches the holes fine cos its mATX, but the cable from my power button on the case does not fit the pins on this mobo, why? and is it a simple thing that i can just get a new cable for it,
the pins should have one positive and one ground, so u just need to get an end and move the pins to fit (or u may be able to move the pins on the dell connector.)
dell has garbage cases though with poor spacing and air flow so instead of wasting time with that and getting something good from newegg like a mini p180 or silverstone matx
